I went through a phase where I became hyperfixated on Irish and Celtic myth. That phase is not fully over, and probably never will be. Hunted by The Fae Duke is the perfect mix of myth-inspired fantasy and romance delights, set in Regency-era England and the faerie world that exists alongside it. Think Bridgerton, but magic, and possibly slightly hornier.
Charlotte Fitzroy is on the verge of spinsterhood, but she’s expecting that to change with a proposal on the first night of the season.
When things don’t quite go to plan, Charlotte finds herself in the Otherworld, an honored guest of the fae duke. She quickly becomes mired in a battle between the dukes and a hunt to win her hand in marriage, and with it, the crown.
If she refuses to participate, or fails to woo the dukes, she will die. With her life and the fate of a kingdom on the line, Charlotte quests through the courts of the Otherworld and must decide whether to listen to her heart or win the game and face the consequences.

Hunted by the Fae Duke features characters that are wonderfully unusual, even within their well-worn, beloved tropes. All of these characters excel at wry humor and witty banter, something that always makes a romantasy special.
I had no expectations going into this book. I picked it up completely blind, but I was elated to discover it was deliciously and unexpectedly spicy. I always love to see BDSM in a fantasy setting.

Sometimes when you read a book, you can tell the author put their whole selves into it, had such fun writing it, and this is one of those times. It’s whimsical and sarcastic, steeped in folklore, and tropey in the best possible way.
With short chapters married with fun and exciting plot twists, Hunted by the Fae Duke is easy to tear through. It’s an amazing, underrated romantasy that has the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. A hot honey book, if you will. Drizzle it on a rainy weekend with no plans.
