Every single character in Men of the Wilds is extreme in one way or another. They’re unhinged, over-the-top, and undeniably hot. They have all seen the absolute worst in each other, which is part of what makes their relationship feel so satisfying as it develops.
We are not good men. Maybe we were once, but to survive out here, we had to give the mountain something in return.
There is a primal kind of attraction between Aurelia and the men, with all kinds of kinky delights. The spice, particularly at the beginning, is dark and not for beginners. These sex scenes are all kinds of wild and wrong in the best way.
This duet is lengthy, but it moves at an incredibly fast pace. It measures somewhere around a thousand pages, but I read the entire thing in less than a week while still participating in life. The isolated setting makes for an insular plot, particularly in the first book, but there is more than enough going on in this cabin to balance it out and keep the story moving.
There is a certain suspension of disbelief involved with reading Men of the Wilds. The premise is a bit far-fetched, but somehow it works with all its dark and twisty excitement. This series reminds me a bit of Pam Godwin’s Frozen Fate trilogy, and I loved every second of it.
This duet was such a fun adventure, with high energy and high intensity that keeps the reader entirely hooked from start to finish. With stunning twists and delicious spice, Men of the Wilds was a truly phenomenal read.
