Enzo and Rayne have all the feelings over the course of this story. There’s anger, lust, hurt, and a deep love that brings so much heat and passion to the page for these characters.
The chemistry between these characters is simply off the charts. Whether it’s love or hate, there are always fierce feelings between them, and it gives life to their characters.
You can’t truly hate someone unless you once loved them enough to let them break you.
That spark between them leads to passionate and tangible sex scenes that are both emotionally charged and incredibly hot. The spice is immediate, and the possibility is always there between Enzo and Rayne, so this is no slow burn.
King of War is fast-paced. It goes down easy, with a plot that will keep you frantically turning pages to find out how these two can possibly find their way back to each other.
I was brought to actual, physical tears by this book, which is rare for any book, but particularly unusual for a mafia romance. While the plot is a wild ride, and I spent a significant portion of the story wondering if there was a significant plot hole, it all made perfect sense in the end.
King of War is the best mafia romance I’ve read in a while, and it left me with high hopes for the rest of the Vegas Ruthless series. King of Anarchy, the next standalone in the series, hits shelves in January 2027.
